Janitorial Supervisor - Job Description

Zervas Facility Maintenance, our family business is looking for an experienced Janitorial Supervisor for Full time to join our growing team in Norton Shores, Michigan. Job Responsibilities:

- Responsible for customer accounts and performing routine check ins, quality checks and extra detail work for clients.

- MUST have 2 plus years in experience in management in the janitorial industry.

- Training new employees on new accounts, learning your accounts and being able to support client when needed.

- Traveling to multiple accounts per shift in the west Michigan area (Muskegon, Grand Haven, Spring Lake, and Grand Rapids as needed).

- Covering accounts if your staff is off on vacation, sick or not able to make it in (within reason) ZFM does take employee attendance as well seriously.

- Will be responsible for up to 15 ZFM employees reporting to you with multiple accounts in the area after training.

- Responsible for getting supplies for employees, managing our clock in system, and working with our employees to build a good relationship.

- Must have great communication and people skills as you will have direct staff.

- Work with ZFM management on scheduling, training, and helping on jobs when needed

- Job Shift is after 5pm primarily, may have some work in the mid-day from time to time. Some weekend shifts as needed. This will be a 40 hour per week work week.

- Will be responsible for customer keys and will have to pass a background check, no criminal record.

- Must have Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Typical cleaning duties at clients

- Cleaning surfaces, desks, bathrooms, offices, kitchenettes, and entry way.

- Vacuuming carpet, sweeping & mopping hardwood floors, etc.

- Cleaning scope and supplies provided.

- Each client is very difference from the next and being able to work within the scope and do what is expected of you when no one is looking.

Additional details:

- Monday through Friday after 5pm. Shift is roughly 8 hours with a flexible start time, some weekends as needed.

- Starting pay depending on experience $18-22 PER Hour (based on experience).

- Roughly 35 - 40 hours per week, Paid Bi-weekly - direct deposit and Paid travel time and mileage reimbursement.
